Mark
Dimond skiing at Alta Feb 12, on a beautiful powder day. Mark says,
"We had a three days of great skiing with over 50 inches of
new snow!" Mark, thanks for rubbing some light, fluffy Alta
snow in our Seattle faces!

Pete
Kollar: "I live in small town in central Slovakia (45,000 peop's).
In winter there is from half to one meter snow. Slovakia has got
lots of mountains, and highest is up to 2,500 meters and we call
it High Tatras. I used to go to the mountains around 1500 meters
high. People don't know there, why we have free heel and don't know
what is it telemark. Only a few know what is it. More common and
popular is randonee (skialpine). Binding for touring, and for downhill
you can lock the heel. Gear. My friend had a outdoor shop and sell
Garmont. So he brings telemark. I use Garmont Gara boots, Chili
binding and spend lots of money for ski - K2 World Piste (another
friend bring me it from Canada)." Right on Pete!

Skier:
Mark Takanen. Photographer: Jason Arnold. Location: Big White Ski
Area in Kelowna, B.C., Canada. The Day: "Season ended and we
were the only ones enjoying the blue skies and sunshine. Tak, Arny
and Stew!" Tak has some serious sack! Hope he's got a cup with
all those trees around.
